Learn the secrets of taking winning photos from top aviation photographers. Led by Mike Lavitt, director of the Aviation Week Photo Contest, internationally known photographers Larry Grace, Jim Koepnick and John Slemp will share their expertise.

Lavitt will tell you what judges look for as they screen hundreds of entries.

Grace will offer tips for taking winning shots at air shows, including choosing your location, lighting, camera settings and more. Koepnick will share air-to-air techniques.

Slemp will talk about a new category, Photo Illustration, that allows photographers to collage, combine and manipulate photos using special effects in PhotoShop or other graphics software.

Larry Grace shoots air shows and flying displays all over the world from the ground and in the air and teaches photography.

Jim Koepnick has won Best of the Best in the Aviation Week Photo Contest and individual category awards many times.

John Slemp is a commercial photographer specializing in aviation, automobiles and other subjects. His recently published book Bomber Boys showcases jacket designs from World War II and has won design awards.
